Easter Day, the day when a giant bunny breaks into Jesus’ tomb and leaves chocolate eggs everywhere… Wait, that’s not quite right. Let me try that again.
Easter Day is the time of year when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but also, let’s be honest, the abundance of chocolate and delicious jelly beans that magically appears in every store. I mean, who needs a reason to eat chocolate, am I right?
Growing up, my family had a tradition of stuffing Easter eggs, taking photos with the bunny, and hiding eggs all over the yard. Fun times. Oh and I cannot forget about the grub. Easter is also a time for family gatherings and feasting. Many people enjoy traditional Easter meals, such as beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes, lamb, ram, hogs. YOU NAME IT!!!!!! But nowadays, yall are more of a Sunday brunch crowd, so yeah… Anyway, while these traditions are great, let’s not forget the true celebration. Easter is a time for reflection and renewal. It’s a time to remember the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, and to be thankful for the hope and grace that He brings into our lives.
Easter Day is one of the most significant religious holidays celebrated by millions of people around the world. It is the day when we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This day falls on the Sunday following Good Friday, I told yall that’s not where the story ended in Friday’s post. Somebody say Amen!
For Christians, Easter is a time of deep reflection and spiritual renewal. It is a day to celebrate the triumph of life over death, and the hope of salvation that comes from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Most of us attend church services on Easter Sunday, yall be nice to the CME (Christmas, Mother’s Day & Easter) crowd, where we sing hymns, pray, and hear sermons that focus on the beautiful words: BUT HE GOT UP with ALL POWER in His hands!
Overall, Easter Day is a time for celebration, reflection, and renewal. Whether you observe Easter as a religious holiday or simply enjoy the festive traditions associated with it, it is a day that holds great meaning and significance for millions of people around the world. So, let’s enjoy the chocolate, the egg hunts and the traditions, but do not forget to appreciate the deeper meaning behind Easter and thank God that the story didn’t end in the tomb.
That’s It. That’s All Yall.
